cell phone booster schematic?

Hello everyone, my camp is very borderline and I would like to amplify reception with an external antenna for my siemens gsm cell phone. I am willing to purchase a diffrent phone if i can find plans to build a booster. I realize you can purchase one but where is the fun in that?? Suggestions, links and/or plans are apprectiated. Roddy,
Nuts & Volts has what you want on p.27 of the March 2005 issue...... a Folded Dipole Antenna designed for 850 MHZ to Boost the Cell phone
signal strength. Basically it is a piece of
300 OHM twin lead 6.4" long with ends twisted,
then in the center of one side of the 6.4" feed line there is another run of 300 OHM twin lead that goes to the inside of your home. That
piece has a 3pf Cap and a .5" loop of #12 AWG wire
soldered across the twin lead lines. Fig #4.<p>LK

Thanks Larry! I'm new to the forum but i've been thinking about subscribing to the magazine for awhile now. I wonder if they take Canadian dunnero's ;) <p>roddy<p>p.s - If you feel like scanning me a copy of that page i wont reject it :p
