If I wanted to design, from scratch, a miniature robot, where would I look to find the various small parts?
Web site?
Such as actuators, servos, and all of the other mechanical doodads that is needed to make a robot come to life.
Thanks,
HKF

Re: Robot parts
Try: www.robotcombat.com - they have a bunch of components for 1-lb and up bots. Their focus is combat, but many of the components could be used in more peaceable applications.
tallyjay

Re: Robot parts
I made a robot for my college last year. It did well.. and to answer your question.. I would say to check out your local hobbie stores for the servos.. Digikey is great for parts. My site shows my robot and steps I used.
www.sambuchi.net

To save a lot of money check out the surplus places.
http://www.allelectronics.com/
This link has a bunch of very unique surplus items that can be used to build robots for a low price. Check it out.
-Jeff
