This is a 1994 unit. The assembly looks pretty specific but will do NECODE scanning, voice and telex without modification. They don’t say USB/LSB/AM. The SEA 1630 300 watt automatic antenna tuner & coupler uses a 68HC705C8FN CPU, will operate in stand alone at 1.6 to 30.0 MHz. Maybe this is a ...

300 watt SSB for PICs

What I have: SEA 300 Watt HF Single Side Band radio telephone by DataMarine. (out of business) It was replaced because it was "broken". Bear in mind that the technician that said it was "broken" sold the man a new multi-thousand dollar unit. SEA 330 controller head with LCD and t...

Stepper motor drivers ?

I am designing a circuit board to control 4 unipolar stepper motors. I planned on using the Allegro 5804 but they are obsolete. I have looked into some of their newer chips but can’t find much info or application notes. I want this board to drive any motor from 9 volts to 24 volts or more and at l...

Maybe your sound card would do it. Find out what frequency your transducer wants and send a ping. Start counting and wait for a return signal on the microphone. You will need matching transformers for both. Maybe the other guys can help with that.
Sounds like a good idea. Good luck.

Stock market driving oil prices

Sorry about being off subject but I had a revelation tonight and had to share it. On the national news tonight, 7-14-06 during the stock market coverage they said that the price of oil topped $78.00 per barrel for a short time. They were speculating about what might happen because of Israel bombing ...

That would be pretty tricky keeping them in sync to work on the same DWORD at a time. Borrows, carries, etc would have to shift from one to the other. Sounds like a challenge to me.

Long ago I bought a pack of Phillips light bulbs. 1 just flashed and the rest burned out in less than an hour. I haven’t bought anything made by Phillips or there subsidiaries in 30 years.

I went to a Radio Shack in a mall today in a futile attempt to get a D flip flop. They didn’t stock ANY ICs or even resistors. But they did have a lot of open floor space. I think they are going to close that store.
Engineers Notebook II is still the first place I go for circuits.

I have been getting creative again lately but I come to a screeching halt when I don’t have the chip I want in my minimal collection. I would be grateful to get any that you have left.
