Hi all,
I have a 20x2 Okaya LCD and even with the contrast all the way up, the thing is too dim to read! Anyone ever run into this before?

I have, but only when the supply voltage was low. I'm lazy and run off 4*AA (NiMH) without regulation.

check the spec - some of these require negative voltage for contrast.
