For those who sleep at night, or not...

A full moon followed by a full eclipse of that moon,....happens tonight.

Look at midnight, long before and after.

Blame it on NASA, tonight is their quote.

Tuesday night of the 28th , at 11:30 PM to after midnight.

No mention of the 27th?

They even refused to mention when it starts in America, ...its not in the African continent, but tuesday here, not monday night?

Too bad you only looked one place. It was talked about in numerous places (newspaper, yahoo home page, several astronomy sites, TV news, NPR) with lots of details of when it started and when it would peak. The Wall Street Journal had a detailed piece on it with a nice graphic on what to expect in each US time zone. At 3:30 AM Tuesday west coast time the Moon was an amazing deep red ball. It was all over around 5:30. In Seattle the sky was very clear and during the later stage, the uncovered part of the moon was incredibly bright - I could read a newspaper by the light. Pretty cool.

Oddly, the NASA page that I looked at seemed pretty clear to me that it was Tuesday AM.

I've got 10 dollars to go to Chris' favorite charity (besides himself) if he will just admit that HE WAS WRONG (without making any excuses or using any putdowns)!!
Any others want to risk it?
Regards,
Dave

Im glad to see all the clique in one place, means they aren’t just sitting on their thumb.

Try two separate places, and neither mentioned times or anything else, just the day.

But then with out silly fodder, some here would just be silent so I guess the extra mind work had some real value as they scrambled to post.

OOOH OOOH....... I can hear them say!

Read any good books lately Robert?

Say the NEC, Physics Today, or just that old sports page again.

I think Ill see who is the Spalling Kween Next.

I need some help Philba, Robert, I couldn’t find it?

Which one did you say?

www.nasa.gov/
www.nasa.gov/externalflash/nasa_gen/
www.nasa.gov/news/highlights/index.html
www.nasa.gov/audience/foreducators/Redirect
www.nasa.gov/home/
www.nasa.gov/externalflash/m2k4/index1.html
www.nasa.gov/externalflash/Vision/index.html
www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/newhorizons/main/index.html
www.nasa.gov/externalflash/Anniversary_
www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/deepimpact/main/index.html
http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html
www.nasa.gov/missions/highlights/index.html
www.nasa.gov/news/highlights/index.html
www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shuttle/main/index.html

But I did find your special page for reading.

News, links, mission schedules, and NASA for kids.

Dave Dixon looks like you made nothing as usual, not even a smart comment today,....aside from your clique being soo small, you couldn’t answer a single question.

Why, didnt learn anything this week?

And I was so sure you could find at least one partial answer on the web?

Whats new, they change the sports page on you?

God, why do I do this???
Okay Chris. I'm sorry I couldn't answer "a single question". PLEASE let me know what that question was - as I don't recall you asking me any questions - and I'll attempt to answer it for you.
FYI, I knew about the lunar eclipse days ahead of time, and observed it at the correct time.
I TRIED to give you the chance to post the "erronous" website, so I could attempt to understand why you may have been confused, but you were unable to do that.
What does the sports page have to do with anything what-so-ever? Other than yourself coming from "left field" most of the time, I don't get your reference.

Wow, I'm impressed. all that work just to avoid saying "I misread the date".

Yes, Chris, this is a silly thread but I think you should reflect on why it is that so many people are taking a bit of fun from this. It's not that you are wrong and not that they like to beat up people but rather that you have made it a life mission to grind into people just how worthless they are and how perfect you are.

Reasonable people would have said "damn, I blew it, my bad". Instead you blamed it on NASA and then went on a snipe hunt for sites that DIDN'T point to the page I posted. Maybe you don't see how silly that is but I certainly do. I'd be willing to bet that others do as well.
