How to record music on dvd media?

Hi all.
What is the procedure to use the larger capacity 4.7GB instead of the .7GB CD to record music using a standalone DVD recorder ? Is it supposed to hold about six hours of material ?

Are you talking about saving the music in audio CD format or DVD Audio format?
