Tackometer for 60 hz

can any one help ? I wish to use a tackometer [12 volt input] for a car engin as a tack. to show 60 hz. for portable gen. thank you . [email protected]

60Hz = 3600RPM, 59Hz = 3540RPM, etc (Hz = RPM/60)<p>If it is an analog tachometer (moving needle) you can make a new scale on paper and paste it on the old scale under the needle.<p>If it is a digital tachometer MAJOR surgery would be needed to change the display to Hz. Stick a label of equivilents like above, near the display.<p>How does your automotive tach sense RPM? Spark plug tap? Other place? It makes a big difference in input circuit design.<p>C U L -
