Elec dog collar enclosure

Post by ggsmith48906 »

Building a lighted dog collar...
Anyone know where one could buy an electronic case similar to the ones Innotek and other manufacturers use for their dog training collars?
The design of these cases (small, watertight, uses a dime to unscrew the battery compartment lid, etc) would be ideal!
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
-GGS

I doubt you will find the small enclosure with the battery mount.
That particular one is custom made, and probably not available to the general public?

But there are plenty of plastic enclosures that could work in its place.
Here is one: http://www.pactecenclosures.com/Plastic ... eries.html
Here is the main page: http://www.pactecenclosures.com/
Here is a 2x2 box :http://electronicsusa.com/miniboxes1.html

I've used pvc pipe for enclosures. glue a cap on one end and a screw in plug on the other, for battery replacement. You can make it any length or diameter you want, dirt cheap also..
[ August 16, 2005: Message edited by: gerty ]

I've also used pvc pipe for enclosures. Glue a cap on one end but used a crutch foot (rubber table leg foot on the other end and some reflective tape it's water tight easy on and offand looks good.
