Are the pin outs shown here :
http://hydraulicslab.ucsd.edu/RS232/rs232.htm
Correct?
I was under the impression that the pin numbers alternate sort of like this:
1 3 5 7 9 11
2 4 6 8 10
and not as they are shown on that web page.
If you agree with me and can back it up with a web page diagram, I'd be grateful
Also, can you direct me to information regarding the voltage levels on the pins.
I"m measuring 11.5V on one pin (referenced to chasis) and -10.5 on another pin.
(I'm trying to get my computer to talk to a MFJ TNC on COM 4 by the way, and am having no luck)
Thanks

The link you provided is correct. See here for confirmation:
http://www.lammertbies.nl/picture/db9_pin_name.gif
http://www.airborn.com.au/rs232.html
The Voltage levels for RS232 are +12 and -12, also uses negative logic meaning that a 1 or logic High is -12 and a 0 or logic low is a +12.
Greg
