Motherboard Guide

I'm looking to upgrade my motherboard, processor, and ram. I have the general idea of an Asus motherboard, P4 2.0+, and 128 rambus ram. I dont need a motherboard with the video, sound, or modem on it. All the places I have looked seem to just advertise their motherboards and dont give me the true comparison I want. Any advice or help on this would be much appreciated.

Right now I have an ECS K7AMA motherboard with a 1.4 AMD. I am using 128 DDR because only 1 slot of the ram works at a time.
video - Radeon 64 DDR VIVO
sound - Audigy platinum<p>I want to build a very complete, powerful system. I am a heavy gamer and I have been working on visual software (Bryce, macromedia, etc.). The biggest hold back is my motherboard right now because it only supports 1 stick of ram.
