I'm trying to get in touch with David Ponting. Does anyone have contact info for him? I have a question from a build that he designed in 2003.

cmikowski,

put the name in the subject so he'll see it (if he still visits, that is)

I checked my 2003 Nuts&Volts CD-ROM Disc, and found a December article by David Ponting.
But there was no contact info with it.

On-line search gave a December 2004 reference to a December 2003 article about an adjustable resistive load. Is that the one?

I did not find the article itself. To be resistive I'm guessing FETs instead of humongous wire-wound pots.

And cmikowski has not logged in again.
Oh well . . .

Yup, that's the one.
It is designed for testing Power Supplies.
