i have a lot of different wheel chair / scooter motor controllers - motorized trans-axles -
motorized wheels ( dual motor chairs with wheels )
right angles gear motors etc..
if anyone is interested in these, lets make a deal.. everything is 24v operated, except for the right angle gear motors.

Out of the blue question dacflyer: Do you know what the control protocol is between the wheelchair joystick and the DC controller is?
I've been trying to remote control motors with the motor/controller out of a chair, but cannot figure out what I need to transmit to the controller to get it to drive the motors. Maybe PWM? Maybe strictly digital? Have you ever looked into this?

some of the controllers are digital communication ( joystick type )
i have some others that just use a centered POT, one direction make it go forward, and the other direction makes it go reverse. you might be able to control the POT with a servo ?

The pot-type sounds intriguing dacflyer.
Yes, I think a servo could drive the pots away from a centered position, plus and minus.
Do you have a 2-motor controller like that for 12/24 VDC, maybe 20 amps?

i have 2 motor controllers, but they use the joystick controller type
if you want here is the info on the motor controller, you can try to look up info on it..
they are Invacare motor controllers.
model DK-PMB02 also has the numbers MK5 NX-75
i believe they are able to handle 75 amps.
i have the motors for these also.. and power connector.
the joystick uses a 4 wire connector, so i assume it is digital.

For what ii's worth, I did contract work for the VA years ago on Everest Jennings chairs. They used pot type joysticks. I think there were 4 wire..plus/minus/X axis / Y axis.
They paid low and slow, so I bailed out!

the joysticks are also having control circuitry in them, additional buttons and leds and meter, horn , speed control, and some have different modes etc, but they are fed out Via a communication cable to the main motor controller
