dc to solar conversion
i am tryin to convert my r/c power source, from dc to solar panel. the rechargable battery is between 4-8 volts with 30 mA output, will a 7.2 v solar panel w/ 100 mA output work? this is the only question i have, it is project, i have done my research, but i could'nt come up with a good reply. the servo and transmitter should work, i just want to make sure that i will have sufficient power source. thanks for all the replies.

Re: dc to solar conversion
If the specs you gave for battery and panel are correct, then the answer is yes.
If by r/c you mean remote control car, the 30mA seems low. You could make a hybrid with panel and battery. Panel recharges battery when parked, and provides some of the current while running.

Re: dc to solar conversion
would i need a new battery pack in order for this to work? seems like a good a idea, instead of running on panels only.
do u think i would a new schematics for this? i will be using the same transmitter and servo.
what do think?
