Decided to try DSL - but it's not what you think..

Hi all.
Wanted to try Damn Small Linux... and worked ! (this post) from inside Windows XP installed in and running from a 1GB USB thumb drive, not in the hard drive. It is surprisingly s l o o o w, unless I find the tweaks. I believe it is Knoppix. The whole operative systems with a big bunch of applications uses 50 Mbytes.
Has several browsers; this one is "Bon Echo" or something like that..., Firefox, Dillo and Netrix
Well, will keep informed if anything outstanding develops.
