Ultrasonic Motor

I don't know if anyone on this forum has the January 2001 edition of Poptronics, but they had an article dealing with ultrasonic motors. I want to try and build one which seems sraight forward enough, so here's my problem; NASA has some info on thier website but it is vague at best and I need a custom piezo ring. Has anyone here heard about this type of motor otr at least know were I can get a custom piezo ring? Thanks for any help.

I don't know if the "hole" is in the piezo disk or not.

Yes there would normaly be a hole in the disk.
