Another interesting date today, 09/09/09.
Glad it isnt 06/06/06 though he he.

On 09/09/09, my precious Italian Greyhound, Allegra, got very very sick, and I had to put her down.

The instant she stopped breathing, I looked at the clock on the wall: 09:09 AM.

So, 09/09/09, at 09:09, I will never forget.

My sympathies. Almost the exact same thing happened to me a decade ago on 9/9/99 though I don't recall looking at the clock, it was approximately that time AM +/- 1 hour. It was a 9 year old Cat in my case and she passed naturally.

9/9/99 was also the date of the largest lightning storm experienced in recent memory in the SF bay area. We almost never get lightning. It's also the unofficial birthday for my new cat who is still healthy.

9 is not a lucky number in my book though this year was uneventful.

Thanks- I really loved that dog. She is/was absolutely precious to me. At the vet, I connected the 9:09 AM part. It wasn't until I got home and entered the withdrawal in my bank account that I realized it was September 9th.

It was only 3 weeks ago, but it seems like 3 years.

Sorry to hear about your dog. I know some pets become quite close to us.
All we can do is feel lucky that we live longer i guess
