I have a Whitfield Advantage Plus. My stove auger has become super temperamental. It will not tolerate a heat output setting higher than "1" for any reasonable length of time before it stops working. I have done extensive troubleshooting research. I've checked the pressure sensor. The hose appears to be clear of obstructions. The circuit board seems all right... lights are illuminating in correct patterns and all. The heat sensor for the auto shut off appears to be working OK. I took the auger assembly out, cleaned and replaced. . I connected a voltage meter to the pressure switch wires and it was reading 120v live. I re-connected the pressure switch wires and checked voltage on the auger motor wires. Auger motor wires registered 120v with the auger motor "on." I've thoroughly cleaned the stove (haven't gotten to the two combustion/convection motors yet, but they both work). Please email me with suggestions on what I should do next to diagnose and / or correct this issue. Thanks in advance.
Please tell me more of your problem? What happens if you go beyond the #1 setting? Does it dround the fire out? Its sounds like a combustion air problem of sorts to me. If the fire can't keep up with the feed of pellets then you don't have enough air flow. Assuming the fire is drounding out. Only 2 things it can be though, a feed issue or lack of air flow or obstruction.<p>I just re-read your post. You are saying your auger stops feeding Pellets completely? Scud... I think for the sanity and sake of all the other forum "electronic" folks, we'd better start a "whitfield" forum somewhere else and get these out of this one.. I unfortunately started it by asking about the circuit board, but it has trapezed out of the arena, and I'm sure is becoming a nuisance to the other readers.. what do you think?.. another forum more suited<p>[ January 09, 2005: Message edited by: wayne ]</p>

Thank you for offering to help. I have since figured out the cause. I had an obstruction (accumulated fly ash) in the vicinity of the combustion fan. I cleaned the area out completely and am back on line. Have a great day.
