ah, yes. the onion effect in action again.<p>Murphy's law of technical support says that the key piece of information is always the last item to come up. A corollary to that is that length of time it takes to obtain the key information is directly proportional to the amount of help being received.<p>By the way, you can get LM34s for 1.59 from bg micro and 1.69 from glitchbuster.

JK type probes might work better?

A diode is what you need for cryo temp measurements.
A lesson on how to specify what you want is what you also need.

This was covered in a thread that ran from 6/20/05 to 6/29/05.<p>You really don't need to measure the temperature of liquid nitrogen. That is well established and is probably one of the few calibration points readily available in this temperature range.
