Hi.
Tring to show 0 to 9 on a single digit display from ten lines...
It's NOT 4 lines binary coded decimal BCD; it's the output of a LM3914 in dot mode which I want to display as digits.
I could make a diode array coversion, but, isn't there a CMOS logic chip that does it?
Thanks,
Miguel

Miguel,
You will probably have to do it yourself.
7 segment displays are at the end of their life and they are all 4 line BCD.
Since you already have the digit, just light up an led for 0 though 9. If you must have a 7 segment display, you will have to make your own 10 to 7 converter.

What about a decimal to BCD converter? Is there anything like that available? I know there are BCD to decimal, but what about decimal to BCD?
Otherwise, yses, you would have to make your own using a PLD or <gads!> discrete gates.
--

Would the 74147/148 family of devices (one of ten in to BCD out) be what you are looking for? Then you could drive/latch your seven segment display as you needed to.

Good one! My TTL book does not list '147 but Mouser has 2 in stock, $3.90 each.
