I have been searching for a new job for a while now and basically have 2 options at my disposal.
slope game
I am currently in the interview process for a job that will start me off at $22/hour. They seem in desperate need of a new employee to fill the role I am applying for, and I fill all the criteria. I could potentially start with this company by the end of the month.
I have been contacted by a recruiter from Spectrum about getting set up for an interview with Spectrum as a field tech. She told me that I would be potentially interviewing at the beginning of October, and I can only assume if I got the job, I wouldn't start work till the end of October at the earliest.
I definitely like Spectrum's pay structure and benefits more than the first company I have already interviewed with, but if I hold out for the Spectrum interview, then I probably wouldn't get the job with the first company which I assume I could get.
My question is, how hard is it to land a field tech job with Spectrum? I am well-spoken and I present myself well. I know it is an entry-level job so I assume there will be a lot of people interviewing for it. I am good with people, know my way around hand tools, and I am motivated. Do I have a good shot at getting the job or do I need to know someone there to have any shot at getting it?

Any experience? Any Certifications (like Cisco)?
If limited work as tech experience, first looks like bird in hand versus bird in bush of Spectrum.
After my 2nd retirement I got contacted by many recruiters. Most FOS! Unless Spectrum is looking for apprentices, you'll need strong experience in something, and some broader general experience.
(just my opinion by facts given)
Cheers,
