I'm starting to wonder if Switchcraft left the USA and anchored off the Shenzhen coast; or is this just another 'pandemic' related shortage?
These have been a backbone product from Switchcraft for years so this comes as an unpleasant surprise.
For best pricing I order in quantities, and I have 4 pin XLR connectors (A4F, D4M) back ordered for months, and most distributors are low or are also waiting for back orders.
Yes there are others that are compatible, like Neutrik, but these need to be Switchcraft. I do secondary machining on the plug shell, and sadly, other connectors will not work without costly redesign and too much fidgeting.
The last delivery estimate is the end of this month, so just maybe.....!
What's with Switchcraft?
What's with Switchcraft?
