Greetings.
It may work for the benefit of the few of us left...
Am looking for ICs
- 2 pcs 4077 CMOS gates trough hole,
- 2 pcs 4070 CMOS gates trough hole.
What do you need ?

Re: Parts exchange between forum members ?
Externet,
I'm working on a ATX power supply, that I need some 1000uF 16V 105C Radial through hole Capacitors.
But because parts are crammed in so tight.
I need the Capacitors to be small in size.
10mm in diameter by 20mm in height.
If your still looking for those IC's.
Would you be interested in a trade?
I know I have some {NOS} IC's.
And a few board pulls.
(1) ECG4070B
(10) SCL4070BE
(1) {RCA} CD4070BE

Hi Tzap.
Found only 5 in my bin (some used, some played with) but should have more if you do not mind pulled from miscellaneous boards by the time I mail them to you. My stupid caliper has no metric; but reads 0.4" diameter and 0.82" length. How many do you want ?

Got the ICs I was after, thanks.

Need too make sure the size is right.
Grab a Ruler that is in Inches.
Measure the Diameter of the Capacitor.
I need it to be 7/16 or smaller.
The Height can be 15/16, or slightly higher, or lower.
The Diameter is the important dimension, since the space on the PCB It has to fit is really tight!

So,
0.4357" (~11mm) x (around) 0.9375"(~24mm), 1000uF 16V 105C Radial. Yes, I know you said 10x20, but that's the conversion to the above fractions.
Here's a handy chart: https://printerfriend.ly/math/mm-to-inc ... heatsheet/
Don't have any, but it looks like Externet does.

Hi.
Ruler in inches ? The caliper is in inches !
0.4" diameter as I have is 10.16mm ; a frog's hair over 10mm you asked and want ! 7/16" you say now is bigger = 0.4375" = 11.12 mm !
0.82" length as I have is 20.8mm ; a couple of frog hairs you asked and want ! 15/16'" you say now is bigger = 0.9375" = 23.81mm !

Okay,
I think the diameter is a hair big, but I think I can make it work.
I'll PM you my address.

Requested 10mm diameter.
10mm = 1cm
1cm / 2.54 = 0.3937in
So 0.4in with variation in (mostly) blue heat shrink thickness, and temperature of aluminum can of cap is
exactly as requested.
7/16in (from later post) leaves plenty of space.
Cheers,
Dale Y

Okay.....
I received the capacitors from Externet.
Thus, went ahead and replaced the two 1000uf 16V Cap's in the power supply.
It was a tight fit, but I got them in.
Here's a picture of an old Cap, and one of the Caps Externet sent me. The one on the left is the old cap.
6mm diameter x 20mm tall.
The one on the right is the replacement capacitor from Externet.
10mm diameter x 20mm tall.
As you can see, the old cap is about 4mm smaller in diameter than the replacement capacitor.
Thus, why I was so concerned about the physical diameter of the replacement capacitors.
Well the power supply is working now, just need to do some testing on it too make sure it will hold up under load.
