Those Digikey are 2.5mm, but if anybody would have what dacflyer is after, it would be Digikey.

So????

If it is the right connector.
Solder on the wires to the connector.
Then cover the soldered end to the connector with either hot glue, or RTV Silicon Sealant.
Let dry, and your good to go.

But as I said before......
It would be great if I had an actual picture of the female plug to match it by.
:)

EDIT:
Here is the Digikey page with the 2mm jst Male & Female connectors.

Hmmmm......................

Well,
They do sell the connector, plus pre-crimped wire ends that fit the connector.

Your still going too need to do some assembly and possible soldering. :/

I'll see if they might send me a sample.
I see online they sell the already female pigtails, but not male ones..Guess they are not popular.

Female connectors are normally used for source connections while male pins are for the load, this helps prevent accidental short circuit if the source by enclosing the pin in the connector body. If pigtails are mainly used on the battery, it makes sense most would be F, while M connectors are more typically board mount. if you want a thru connector with pigtails on both sides, maybe you need to swap for another style.

I think you're going to have to attach your own wires to the header component, then you can insulate with heat shrink or hot glue

I agree with haklesup,

The connector is designed to plug in to this type of header.

So, any way you look at it.
Your going to be doing a lot of soldering.
