Mine was an old Proctor Silex toaster. I had this fascination with the glowing element. One day when my mother took her eyes off me for a second I removed the plastic cover and started the thing. I shoved a butter knife down on glowing the element. Shocking experience in my little life. That had to be Circa 1955 and I was about 5 years old. To this day I have never forgotten that experience.

Ah, the lessons of youth are usually the most profound.

Mine was the temporary light we had to use in the garage attic. It was one
of those bulb fixtures you could clamp the 2 bare wires onto the end, and
usually it was safe. One day I had to climb up and get out the baseball gear.
I found the fixture and a long length of 14-2 with a plug on the end of it. The
ends of the wires were sticking out maybe a 1/4". The light went up in the hole
and so did I. My hand searched for the support to pull myself up but found the
business end of the fixture. Let me tell you, I never tried so hard to let go
yet hold on (to keep from falling)! Ever since then electrical tape has been my
best friend.

So I guess I blew $10K in target practice many tears ago!
That guy could probably still list them on ebay as .... 'Previously New" :-)

Thank you for the link! Will be sure to make here as the one connected to this. That is the reason why a lot of people are looking for the main opportunities to manage the current. So it is necessary to work with it further.

Is it me, or does anyone else think this JimAxtell is a BOT?

I mean, look at the First Posting of this topic by Miguel, and compare it with the one JimAxtell copied and pasted.
The Link has been changed!
