It looks like we are populated with...

After all the shoveling from the blizzard here on the East Coast, my fingers, arms and everything else associated have been rather apathetic themselves. As a matter of fact, I just finished shoveling the last of 6 spaces in the public lot since I haven't been able to get a decent spot in almost a week. Besides, the Stooper Bowl is coming up, and lots of people are prepping for it. Does that make them "preppers?"

That is why I checked in. This was my first & only forum for a lot of years. When things slowed down here, maybe 2007, I found ETO & frequented both. Eventually only ETO. Two years ago there were friction & attitude problems at ETO so a lot of people left & things slowed down there. Needing my daily dose of electronic stimulus, I found AAC & edaboard so I frequent all three.
Due to a thread about attitude problems at AAC & people leaving, I remembered my old favorite, Nuts & Volts.
After finding the new address, the first thing I saw in the board index was:
General Discussion
This is the place for any magazine-related discussions that don't fit in any of the column discussion boards below.

Creative electronic hobbyists build all sorts of things that are not magazine-related but that sentence would keep them from asking their many questions here.
I recognized that sentence as soon as I logged on today. I wonder if that is what slowed things down years ago. It is a shame that Nuts & Volts forum isn't as active as it was years ago.
Edited to say:

For all the electronics you want to talk about! Posted: 19 Sep 2011

It looks like you saw the problem in 2011 but that restriction is still on the welcome page.

I remember participating in a forum topic that inspired a Nuts & Volts magazine article.

Hey Clyde! How's it going?

When the idea to break the forum up a bit was floated, it met with enthusiasm because it was hard to follow most posts because of them being clumped together. Breaking them into the magazines and associated columns / topics was supposed to make it easier to find specific posts. I guess we are still rather a General Discussion type of group, (the few of us who are still active.)

I also see that Servo is hardly active at all.

After all, you can't have a conversation by yourself.
(Speak for yourself!)
(No, you speak for YOURself!)
(No, YOU!)
(You!)
...

:D
