Re: firefox question
Hi dac,
Try change *any* references to 4.0 to 5.0, that means all of them.
But when i tried this i couldnt find any "4.0" so maybe you should try to install without changing anything.
Try using a fresh copy of the original xpi file.
I just tried it and although i didnt install, it did ask me if i wanted to install it in a window.
I dragged the xpi file (it has to have an .xpi ending) into Firefox over a reply right in this forum and that's when it opened and asked me to install or cancel.

Re: firefox question
ok, did not work quite as instructed, but i did get it to work,,,
what i had to do was download the file.. then just drag it onto this page,,and it asked me to install now.. so i did.. works..
i did not have to open the file with winzip or anything.. just drag the file into a open window, and follow
directions..

Re: firefox question
Hi again,
Well im glad it worked for you finally. Good luck with it.
My problem is that when i go to bookmark a page, it always wants me to navigate to the folder every time rather than remember the folder. It's a pain in the neck.

Re: firefox question
I use FF 8.0 and have it set up. Not sure how I went about it but this link looks familiar. When I open a new tab (clicking the + sign) the tab opens and goes to my home page.

Re: firefox question
There are also several add on that will do it like this one:
RonA very simple tabbed browsing extension that loads your homepage when you open a new tab. If you have multiple homepages, the first is chosen.
