A couple could be 5 pounds. Do your part too asking at the postal office for the type of service you want; as express, first class, ground, whatever.

Much appreciated, Miguel. Looks like a hobbyist's quantity at a mfgr's quantity price. I think what I will do is send a padded envelope with a SASE Priority Mail envelope inside. The parts can be put in the padded envelope and stuck into the Priority Mail envelope. That should minimize your time involved. If you have any digital volume control chips that could be thrown in w/o exceeding the postage that'd be a nice surprise. Thanks again.

Hi.<p>peter-f: no controllers for stepper motors; I may have a few at home from canibalized fax machines under some spider webs, but still soldered on boards.<p>wingnut66: LM308N yes; LM308H no. 3909 none, but there is a related earlier post with a source.<p>ROBERT REED : Does not happen often.<p>James McD : Yes, a few displays, a few controllers, and many DSP but mostly soldered on boards.
