intermittent wiper control
Anybody have a circuit for an intermittent wiper control that can be just added to the existing 2 speed wiper switch?..

Re: intermittent wiper control
hey, i found me one out of a junked car. it was a dash mounted modual, 6 wires. but if i remember right, i only used 4 wires,2 for power, and the other 2 were the relay contacts. only problem i had was that i had to isolate the ground from the park switch in the wiper motor. before that it worked good, til it parked, then it would blow the fuse, took me a frustrating hrs to figgure WTF was causing it,
but now i have delay waper control in my metro..BTW the delay modual has a seperate power switch.
i forget what car i got the delay modual out of, but i know it was a 80's japaneese car
the modual was panel mounted thru the dash..
hope this helps ya.. its easier then you think.. just goto local junk yard and browse around.

the one in the link.

Use your mouse to roll over the link, then click...frhrwa wrote:what movie?
Note: The new and improved phpBB skin in use does not
highlight the hypertext. Further, changing the hypertext
to bold or to a new colour does not stick.
However, underline does (but required extra work to implement)

Re: intermittent wiper control

I see it highlighted in dark blue. It is very faint, but it is dark blue.Bigglez wrote:The new and improved phpBB skin in use does not

I am surprised, because I am the guy who is supposed to have a problem seeing what my wife says are my own dark navy blue slacks. They look black to me and they look black to half of the population.

Re: intermittent wiper control
I agree with dacflyer, that It may be easier to get one out of a junked vehicle.
Then trying to build one.
But I would get the wiring diagram for the vehicle that you got it out of.
Plus the wiring diagram of the vehicle your going to put it in to.
Here's a unit that is available for installing on a few makes of cars.

But if you really want to build it from scratch.
Here's a schematic.

As part of the current skin for phpBB the dominant theme colour is blue.Bob Scott wrote: I see it highlighted in dark blue. It is very faint, but it is dark blue.
The actual tint and strength will vary from user to user depending upon
the type and age of their screen, which might be CRT or LCD these days.
I think the subtle theme graphics are waay too hip for the room; we
can conduct this board just as easily with simple graphics and text.
The pages would load faster and there'd be less adjustment each time
the database and security features of the project are upgraded for other
reasons. Graded colour fills, 3D effect buttons, and other bells and whistles
are very trendy. Plain and nerdy simplicity is not the Web 2.0 world
we live in though, is it?
Here is what I see, when magnified to 400%:
Unselected first, then selected with a mouse over move:

Well, I think the color of links should be controllable by the user of the browser. Don't quote me, but I think you can set them in Firefox (?)Bigglez wrote:I think the subtle theme graphics are waay too hip for the room; we

You can try this in your IE7:
1) Open the "Tools" menu.
2) Click "Internet Options".
3)Under the "General" tab, click "Accessibility".
4)Choose "Ignore colors specified on webpages".
There ya go, plain and nerdy! Your link is clearly blue or purple if you've already been there.
Edit: Oops. If you do this you will lose the "quote" and "edit" boxes.
I AM DEFINITELY planning to rent the movie "A Touch of Genius".
If you have 8 minutes to have a chuckle at another genius, watch this:

Many times access to controls on a public access PCBob Scott wrote: Well, I think the color of links should be controllable by the user of the browser. Don't quote me, but I think you can set them in Firefox (?)
You can try this in your IE7:
(in the library, school, business environments) are
locked down and preferences can't be changed.
Therefore any user preferences for viewing a page
must be done by the source of the web page.

Re: intermittent wiper control
Excellent movie. I just saw it last weekend. When he was in his garage/basement I was telling the wife... "a capacitor, a variable resistor, and a transistor". . . Within 60 seconds, I heard him say the same thing!
It is a shame that I probably couldn't have stuck it out all those years fighting. I probably would have settled sooner. He was quite the hero when it comes to the little guy fighting those big corporations!

Unlike home theatre there's no 'pause' button in the cineplex!Dave Dixon wrote: When he was in his garage/basement I was telling the wife... "a capacitor, a variable resistor, and a transistor". . . Within 60 seconds, I heard him say the same thing!
In that same scene I wanted to see the schematic drawing again.
Guess I'll have to wait for the DVD to come out...

Re: intermittent wiper control
Remember when there used to be lots and lots of electronics hobbyist magazines? Auto accessory projects were in one of them every month: intermittent wipers, sequential turn signals, daytime running lights, electronic dash gauges, auto headlight dimmers, delayed-off headlights, road temperature/freeze warning, shortwave converters and FM converters for the standard AM car radios, ....
