Automatic steering?

Post by Ameen »

Hi,

We are making an Unmanned Ground Vehicle as our course project. Initially it is supposed to be a medium sized autonomous car(which can accommodate a 10 yr old kid on the seat). We couldnt find cheap servo motor here in Pakistan for the steering.

Now, I need guidance of how to work on it without servo motor? Would stepping motor do? Would the normal dc motor with some tweak do the trick?

Regards

Hi there,

I would expect a stepper to work ok for this too, EXCEPT i might
add some feedback because if the load increases too much as
might be the case on some terrain the stepper wont step and
so another step would have to be immediately initiated.
LEDs vs Bulbs, LEDs are winning.
