* WANTED / Needed * Battery Charger 36 volts @ +/- 20amps

Post by dacflyer »

might be an idea to have a wanted section here to go with the
" up for grabs " section.

i am in need of a 36 volt battery charger for a project i have going on.
i was looking into golf cart battery chargers, but all i can find are NEW crazy priced ones. does anyone here happen to have one that they are willing to sell for a decent price ? it needs to be about 20 amps or so.
thanks...

You have probably already thought of this, but ..... Most control voltage in industrial situations is 120 VAC. A 5kva 480vac (primary) to 120vac (secondary) is pretty common and while pricey when new, there is not much resale value. If you put 120vac on the primary, you will get around 30 vac out which when rectified will give you close to your voltage and current needs. Check with an industrial electrician or a company that does that sort of thing, and you may come out with a price that you can live with also.
