Simplest beeper pulser

Post by ian »

I'm trying to pulse a beeper at about 1HZ. Is there a really cheap and easy way to do this? It seems there should be but so far I'm using inverters.
I don't know but is it possible to do this with a PUT? Or an SCR?

A PUT is a simple circut. Go to this URL and look at figure 3. For your application, connect the output (Vo)to the base of an NPN transistor and connect the buzzer from the collector to Vb. Choose Cc for the time delay, about 2uF and put a resistor in series with Cc to extend the time the buzzer is on.
