I recently built a digital temperature guage that tells me the room temperature and the the outside temperature. I used LM34 sensors and a DPM. If any of the information or ciruits would be useful I can pass it on.

the LM34 is for fahrenheit and there is another part that does celcius (LM335? iirc). The part gives 10 mV per degree so you can feed it straight into a digital panel meter as mentioned above. The datasheets have a lot of circuit ideas.
