CRT Monitor connector

Post by jwax »

An old piece of equipment has a 13" CRT color monitor, low brightness. Very old. Has a 9 pin sub-D connector.
Any ideas on connecting or adapting an Apple monitor with its 15 pin connector to replace the old dim monitor?
Thanks! :)

There are standard 15 pin Dshell (2 row) to HD15 Dshell (3 row) adapters available to attach old Apple monitors to PC's. If that's what you need, send private email and I can furnish one.

Entering "15 pin to 9 pin adapter" into google brought up some converters you could get. And if you wanted to rig something up yourself for whatever reason there's this webpage: http://pinouts.ru/data/9to15VGA_pinout.shtml
-------------------------------------------
I need a newbie disclaimer

Thanks guys! The 15 pin on the Apple is HD- 3 rows. I wonder if that is still a pin-to-pin match to a 15 pin Sub-D (2 rows), so I can wire my own.
