lpt ,serial,joystik ports detail

please i want know every thing in details( about lpt ,serial,joystik ports concerning in pin out functions,electercal limitaion(amber,volt),addresing.
also how can i use lpt port as input and output on my pc ? and the same thing for joystik port.
also how can i progam these ports to give the desired function?
