RGB Video problem

I have a device that outputs RGB video with Sync on Green, but the monitor that I want to use doesn't support Sync on Green. It will only support seperate syncs or composite sync. I have tried to use an LM1881 to derive composite sync from the green signal and input the composite sync into the monitor and I get an image, but it isn't too pretty. The vertical edges are all jagged. Does anyone have an idea what may be the problem and a circuit that may fix it?<p>Thanks,
