A Touch of Spice

Post by MikeSwitch »

Just a comment on this informative series in the Dec08 and Jan09 issues:

If your are using the latest version of the simulation software from linear.com - LTspiceIV - and are using the downloaded model libraries for the January article (from N&V site), you'll most likely encounter a path error since the model was created when the program was named SwCADIII.

To correct this, edit the NV78L05.lib by right clicking on the file name and choose "open with" then select program from list, then Notepad. Find the instances where a path is specified:

C:\Program Files\LTC\SwCADIII\lib\cmp\standard.dio

and replace SwCADIII with LTspiceIV

and re-save.

Thanks! One of the problems of rapidly updated
software discussed in a print magazine (which
typically requires four months of lead time).
