Capacitor with three leads

I am trying to fix and old intercom system and i need to find an electrolytic capacitor with three leads one is negative and the other two are positive the capaciter says mallory and the stats for it are 150 vdc and 50 mfd. any help in finding this would be greatly appreciated

You don't really have to replace it with a 3 lead cap. You just need too find 2 caps with the rating you need and connect them the same way the original was. Just tie the negative leads together and connect to the original location. Many devices used split caps. in power supplys over the years and some still do. That's the way we replaced them because it was easier to keep individual caps. in stock .

You can find multi section caps at Antique Electronic Supply or at many places on the web including eBay. Just look for sites the offer guitar amp parts or DIY parts for High End audio.<p>AL
