Hi Buford.
The real good stuff is in Europe.
You buy a card at a corner store with as many minutes as you choose, with the service provider you want.
Stick it inside your OWN portable telephone, and you are talking.
No contracts, no ties, no monthly fees, no credit references, no nothing.
They don't know you; you don't know them.
You did not like it? Buy the card from any other service provider. Used all the minutes ? Get another card.
Try to do this in USA and you are bait. The nearest thing forces you use certain amount of prepaid minutes a month, if you don't, you loose them...and pay again for next month...
Miguel

Alot of them let you keep your minutes if you buy a minimum of $10 as month
But prepaid cell phones here in the states are a RIP OFF...
You pay as much as a dollar per minute unless you buy $50 or $100 in minutes and you still pay 66 cents sometimes 33 cents a minute if you are lucky
And all the card is is a number, The card itself is useless
Rip off I tell ya!
