Need simple 555 circuit

Post by MikeDR »

Ok I need a 555 circuit to do the following:
when a button is pushed, trigger an output for 3 seconds, then release (and stay off until another push).. also if I use a 556 (and each part of it does the same thing as above) can one part cancel the other? so if out1 is On and you hit button 2, out1 will turn off and out2 will turn on for 3 seconds?<p>thanks a lot

For 3 seconds, use R=2.7 meg & C=1uF, or R=270K & C=10uF. The 555 & 556 has a reset pin, so you can connect button #2 to stop the first pulse and start the second.
