singing trophy

Post by nutpickle »

Hello All,
I am rather new to electronics and was wondering how to do something. I have a trophy that I would like to make play a song everytime it is touched. Is there a switching circuit I could build using the hall effect or some other method that would do this?
Thanks in advance :p

A "Hall Effect Sensor" produces a voltage in the presence of a magnetic field. You could build one of the circuits from the internet, like this 555-based one, or you could build this one. The SECOND should easily interface to a Radio Shack digital recording/playback module. The trophy needs to be metallic and insulated from whatever it sits on.
You could also BUY a touch switch, and figure out where the TOUCH SENSOR output is; then connect your music module or voice module, powering the whole offa 120...
