i need a few small parts,, probably in your junk box. i do not have a big enough order to get these parts anytime soon. so was wondering if anyone canhelp.. i'll pay the part and shipping. not looking for any freebies heres what i need
i am needing a "CD4013BCN" , i need at least 1 but can go for 2.
and a GE64 or equilivant
thought i could have one in my junk box...but no luck.
thanks.. need them asap, thanks
i need a few parts, can anyone help ?
Sounds like (assuming it is used as just a switch, and most darlingtons are) that you can use any darlington NPN with VCEO greater than 40V (or whatever the real supply V is) and Ic greater than 100mA (or whatever the switched load really needs). The darlington gives you very high hfe (DC gain AKA Beta) so its easy to saturate (turn on) with little base current. Subbing a regular NPN with similar specs would likely result in low Ic and a need to adjust the base resistor with possible detrimental effects (not knowing the ckt of course).
You could probably also sub with two plain old NPN soldered into the darlington configuration. The 2n2222 is 40V, 500mA part. Two of them should work as a darlington pair. a 2n3906 would probably work that way as well though only to 200mA, 40V. hfe for these is typically 300 while for a darlington it is in the thousands. In a darlington the first transistor amplifies the base current to the second transistor which carries most of the load current.
