Interesting use of the term "slander". As I understand it, to be slander, it needs to be knowingly false. So, in that sense, your statement is quite true. You aren't taking any slander from me.

Hi again,

Chris, Philba, others:

I know it's tempting to yell back at someone who seems to mock you
out, but all you have to do now is PM me or bodgy and one of us
will edit the post so your person isnt attacked like that.
I know people (including myself) are wrong sometimes and that's just
because we are all human, but it's not a good idea to constantly dig
at someone just because they seem to be incorrect as this leads to
the kind of thing which everyone doesnt seem to want to see anymore.
And to whom it may concern, if a bunch of people gang up on you and
say you are wrong and you have reviewed your facts and still insist
that you are right, then say so in a friendly manner and try to have
patience...and things might eventually work out.

Students that are wrong a lot and enrolled in college courses fail their
final exams as well as get wrong answers on other tests, so they
eventually fail the course and have to take it over again or drop out.
Here, no one is passing or failing, so try to take it easy and be friendly.
This will work out for everyone im sure.

I guess out of all other things, patience is the best of all. It reminds
me of a rocket that leaves earth to explore the vastness of space,
propelled by a small but steady ion engine that although it has a tiny tiny
thrust, eventually builds up speed and gets into deep space, finding new
worlds.
LEDs vs Bulbs, LEDs are winning.

Philba, Im sure your expertise in one area is appreciated.

Physics will lead you forward but you must keep up and read.

I know, for some its such a task?

Peter: Spider-Man wasn't attacking the city. He was trying to save it. That's slander.

JJJ: It is not. I resent that. Slander is spoken. In print, it's libel.

If only they would wake up, Alice said Click your heels twice?

There are few grumpy old parts jockeys here that will tell you it cant be done?

Why, because they cant do it them selves.

They peaked in their life long ago, as far as general knowledge years ago, they put on the corporate blinders, and that’s it for them.

No wonder they are so grumpy.

One says you cant do it because the manufacture doesn’t recommend it?

Another says Heat isn’t what makes a internal combustion engine work?

[and the silence that follows there is deafening?]

Another says you cant tie the neutral wire to ground, despite the fact that its already done, and there are numerous extra examples in the NEC to the contrary.

And yet another claims a Led cant handle 10 amps in because its only rated for 20milli amps per second, but independent listeners did it any way.

Yes he didn’t get his extra visible light out, but his modern LED produced extra IR light instead of visable, and he never looked, so gee wiz, he never finished the complete experiment.

But ten amps was no problem.

One example after the other, all non sense, all designed for you to be right up there with their learning, and nothing more.

Don’t you dare think for your self, the grumpy old men have spoke?

And the bottom line here thanks to some grumpy old men is don’t experiment, don’t open your mind, the grumpy old men said so and we want to rule this chicken coup?

No wonder they have nothing to say in print, in any magazine.

Negativity doesn’t sell.

Some are prepared to make up anything just to back up their positions, lest you leave them in the dust.

SO,..How many here are just a parts jockey or worse, old grumpy parts jockeys?

You take a part out of the package, and according to some one else’s plan, you solder and assembly it into your own unit?

In other words, you did nothing more than be a proficient “solder and assemblerâ€

dyarker, with all good intentions.... Wasn't it Glenda the "good witch" who said that? I also thought it was three times. What a nice weekend get-away. Methinks it might start all over again <sigh>.

Here's what I don't like about this and many other threads.

I don't see the need to continually bash anyones education, knowledge or work history. We don't know each other and have no way of knowing what anyone else knows.
Does education really matter?
Does it matter where I have lived?
Does it matter where I have worked?
Or can we all exchange ideas and learn from each other?

OR maybe there should be an IQ test prior to letting people register and post here? I see one question for that test.....

1.) Do you agree with Chris Smith?

If you say yes, you are welcome here......

How the heck did a thread about a dog pissing when it gets shocked get 99 replies spanning 7 pages?

Not only that, but I'm seeing posts with ridiculous amounts of text. I'm not going to waste a fraction of the time reading what you've written that you took to write it in the first place. I'd be real suprised if there's no reference to compressed air powered cars in there somewhere.

What is wrong with you people?

Seriously. Grow up and/or get a life. I'm not pointing fingers, but you know who you are.

I think we need more of this around here.
