Seeking digital cable converter

Post by KNR »

I'm looking for a Digital cable converter as I want to buy a HDTV but do not want to pay my cable company for another box rental. I found out it's legal to own your own equipment and I just want a digital cable box to own and pay for my service to the cable company. I'm located in NY and my cable company is cablevision. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Contact the manufacture/supplier of the box type used in your area.

Zenith Z-TAC programable systems was the one we used in our area back in the 80s and 90s, and they are available over the web like most system are.

I haven’t used cable for 15 years as I went to C-band sat and Direct TV, so I would imagine some things have changed.

Just Google the brand and model you use in your local area and you should be able to find it on the web.
