where to find large breadboard?

Post by dacflyer »

radio shack carried bread board (prefboard) project board etc.
i think the biggest one they carried was about 6"x 8" (40holes x 55holes)

i am looking for larger ones, does anyone know a source?
perhaps 12"sq. or 12"x24" or even 24sq. are such things even made for projects ?
or can someone suggest somehting better ?
thanks

Vector makes large perfboards with 0.100" hole spacing. these have no cladding tho. A more detailed search thru their website might uncover some clad boards of that large size. When purchasing these large boards, be prepared to spend some cash!

Its really pricy, because its so specialised, and used less, and less every year as less prototyping, or manufacturing is done using these boards.
Several smaller boards interconnected is usually the way its done, if a single board is not big enough.
I dont think Ive ever built anything bigger than a 8 x 10 board in my entire life.

Really, now we produce the solderless breadboard in larger quantity as a manufacturer and exporter. The dimension of the largest breadboard is 195*218*8.5mm. There are 4 terminal strips,7 distributor strips, 3260 tie-point and 4 binding posts for lab test and edcation and hobbies.

We can imagine that the price of breadboard is so expensive, but for our factor, the price is the lowest for each customer. For example, the price of the model I mentioned above is USD18. We have evaluate the price according to our labourforce and raw materials and make sure that the price is the most competitive in the world.

Come on guy....either read the original posting....or dont bother replying. The original poster is looking for PERFBOARD....PERFBOARD......PERFBOARD!
So pack up all your lousy advertising for your crappy prototyping systems....and GET STUFFED!
