Vdd and Vss meaning?

I've seen reference to "Vdd" and "Vss," but I'm not sure of the meaning of these terms. Can someone tell me what they mean?<p>Tbanks.

They refere to transistor terminals. Voltage Drain and Voltage Source.

Also very commonly representative of the +5V supply voltage to a circuit (Vdd) and Ground (Vss).
