Opening iomega Zip CD case

I have an iomega Zip CD-RW drive. It's nothing special, just a 4x burner, so I have no plans to use it as a burner as the computer already has a 48x burner. I just want an additional drive and the system only has space for the single drive.

Anyway, the eject button is broken and the switch seems to have fallen off because the button doesnt touch anything or spring back after being pressed. I want to open the drive to see whats wrong, but unlike new external cd-rom drives, the case is not designed to be opened by the user. Does anybody have one of these and know how to open it?

It does work via the eject command in windows (right click on drive then click Eject) but it's a pain when the button should work.

Any ideas?
