Hello Forum,
Just wondering if anyone has some comments or suggestions about the new board?
Thanks!

I like how I was finally able to change my login from that long set of random, impossible to remember numbers to just Mike.
That's a plus.
But I don't really care for the theme of the site. I have to say that the plain style that comes with phpBB is much easier to read. Just a slight modification with a logo as I have done on my electroNET website would be much better in my opinion.
Heres my board as an example:

Maybe you could offer that basic forum theme as an option?

Hi there,
Would be nice to add a little color to the theme.
Nice style though.
Would be VERY nice to be able to select a non-proportional font
for showing table data (when measuring a circuit, etc).
It's going to take me a little time to get used to the very small font
this message is being shown in as im typing right now.
Take care,
Al

Hello and thanks for the efforts on the new forum appearance and features.
¿Has it been tried, how safe is this site from robots collecting our addresses everywhere on the net and filling us with spam later?
PLEASE do not make them accesible to the infestation we already have with spyware and advertisementware and more crap.

I notice that Mike had an active link in his post, but you didn't know it was active until you brought the mouse pointer over it. Upon close inspection, there may have been a slight change in the font, but ..... Maybe making those links stand out in another color would be nice.
Otherwise, I like the board. Others are using this engine and it appears to be very versatile .... like I have the smarts to utilize all that it offers. Right.

I thought the same. All you have to do is click on the profile of a person and theres their email. Not encrypted, not anything.Externet wrote:Hello and thanks for the efforts on the new forum appearance and features.

Sure you have to log in, but what prevents a spammer from registering, or posting a login they create on a site like bugmenot for other spammers to get in and get our addresses.
Theres a way around this though - Just hide your email address in your profile. Unfortunately, though, the only way to contact each other privately is Private Messaging. Until our addresses are at least encrypted, I'm hiding mine.
