Old steno cassette tape

Post by Loki2012 »

Does anyone have any information or equipment to play an old steno tape? This cassette was probably made in the 1970's. I may try and build a rig to play it, but I would rather try and find an original tape player.
This tape is 1/4 inch in width. Does reel to reel players use the same width?
Thanks for any help!

Good luck. Yes, the most common size reel to reel tape is 1/4". Larger sizes are mostly found in pro gear.

I still have a Sony reel-to-reel from that era.
Send the tape, I'll make a .wav from it. :)
