A/V Switcher Project

Post by dave8976 »

Does anyone know of a good soure for the MAX chip set used in the A/V switcher project in the current issue of Nuts & Volts. I have looked in several places and have not found a source. If they carried the MAX chip it is often the MAX232. Also like to know of anyone's experience in building this project and refinements that they may have added to this project. Thanks Dave

Direct from MAX, in the form of a sample.

Dave, What specific Maxim part(s) are you looking for? I agree with Chris, Maxim is pretty
good about giving out samples. I have a box of various MAX parts. If it's in my "spare parts" box... consider it yours.
Good luck,
Dave

Thank you for the offer. The specific chips I was looking for are the MAX399 and the MAX454CPD. What I found is most stores (web sites) only carry the MAX232 product from Dallas Semiconductors. Based on your suggestion I have asked for a sample of the above chips. Dave
