TV Remote Setup Codes: NEED HELP!!!

I've probably purchased a dozen (or more)
universal TV Remotes. They usually take
a few minutes to punch-in the codes and
then you're all set to go.<p>I purchased a remote for a Philips/Magnavox
kitchen island style TV. It's sold in every
Walmark, Kmart, etc. It's a 9 inch color
model (PRO920X101), with a white cabinet.
Typically, it's hung under kitchen island
cabinets or used on a small stand in a
bedroom.<p>The remote that came with the unit still works,
but I had to spend some time cleaning a lot of
gunk off of it, so I figured it was a smart
idea to preserve the original and use a
universal instead.<p>So far, I've tried a GE and One For All
remote. First, I tried all the codes they
provided with the remote. When that didn't
work I tried the "search" feature that came
with each unit. Essentially, you press a couple
of switches over and over and OVER, until
you bring up the correct code. It didn't
work with the GE or One For All remote.<p>I remember reading an article in an electronics
magazine, (maybe Nuts & Volts, Popular or
Radio Electronics, etc.) about uncovering
your remote's setup code. Are any of these
documents on the web?<p>Any help would be appreciated!!<p>WildBoar
